FAO Stan or anyone! Booze question

Hi all

Just a little query, on call this morning so I can't leave the house so I'm having a mad fit & clearing some cupboards out. I've got to a large corner cupboard containing glasses & bottles of booze, most unopened from parties years ago. Some of it is premium brands, Gordons Gin, Lambs Navy Rum etc & some are 'house brands', ie Makros Charles House Scotch, Vodka etc + various bottles of wine.

I know alcohol is supposed to keep, but how long for? Some of it has probably been there for 10 years, they are unopened. As we don't drink at home (hence them accumulating) I thought if they were OK I'd give them to my daughters PTA summer fayre but don't want to take a chance of poisoning anyone:)

Found an opened boxed bottle of Courvoisier & one of Chivas Regal as well

 think it was Courvoisier that i used for my cough in january when i'd run out of cough medicine one night

my parents had a bottle of  vodka with gold leaf in it for years, and years, and years

til i got into my late teenage years if i remember rightly ]:)

my dad made carrot whisky that turned out to last a few years as well

CG, there is a very old bottle of the FINEST brandy in the cupboard as well !

So what's the problem?   Don't you have my address?:-D
