Dog Walking & Pet Sitting

Hello,

I am about to start dog walking and pet sitting in the Essex area.

How many customers do you think I'll get?

I believe the traditional way is to leave used notes at the side of the bed.......

To be perfectly honest with you.....the kind of questions that you are asking on here shows that you need to start doing a little more homework about starting up a dog walking business. You MUST get the legalities sorted out first - insurance, certificates, speak to the council/HMRC BEFORE you start thinking of how many clients you will get/what to charge etc. These are the things you need to think about after you have been given the go ahead. You need to get Public Liability Insurance quotes etc. If you go ahead and start your business before doing the above then you could find yourself in serious trouble. Speak to your small business advisor at the bank as well - they will be able to guide you in the legalities of setting up a business. As well intentioned as you are....these legalities are going to take up some of your time. As somebody said above insurance is PARAMOUNT in case something happens to a dog or a dog does cause an accident whilst in your care. What happens if you need a vet urgently?   Please read through all of the pages of the business I sent you a link to. She has all her terms and conditions there. You may need to be CRB checked as well - in fact I would say that that is a MUST as people will be trusting you to go into their homes and you will be in charge of their keys etc.

Please dont rush into this lightly - you really and truly need to sit down and think about all of the above (and other stuff that I may have forgotten to mention). Whatever you do though - good luck.

Remember - it takes 17 muscles to smile and 44 muscles to frown - SO KEEP SMILING 🙂
