I am going to try and make my own as buying the lovely Y*nkee melts is becoming expensive. I was wondering if anyone has some advice on the more stronger fragrances to use. I love the more defined strong aromas whether it be fruity or floral.
Thanks.

Probably not but I will give it a shot, maybe I will find my creative side ater all 🙂
I have a few Yankees left but the aroma only lasts for around 8hrs so its costing if I use them daily so I thought if I make my own and they turn out even half as nice I will be happy 🙂
Thanks for the replies and links.

My Yankee Tarts last at least 5/6 tea lights worth. It might depend on the fragrance as I like the spicy cinnamony ones. Vanilla & caramelly ones are lovely too.

Have to disagree with you Maggie - and you will know why LOL
OP - I make and sell wax melts.

If it helps I make my own candles and use these people . The scents are great, P&P is reasonable and the frangrances come in big bottles, I have bought them from suppliers on here and it works out very expensive as the bottles are tiny.
If you click on the scent you like the sound of it will open a new page, scroll down a little and it gives you a list of all the component scents.
I also use soy wax, it's easier to use than the parafin wax.

I was looking at doing some of my own tealights possibly. I like the cinnamon ones too. 🙂 Love spicey smells and berries. Not so keen on the floral ones.
