Good luck with this, Essex too far for me though. I used to go to one place that held regular barn dances, & had a couple of fields for people to camp over. Sadly they'd had a licence for alcohol and they lost it, & the main attraction they used to hire disbanded. Boo hoo hoo.

Can I suggest that, when you do your coach trips, you take some tickets as well as the flyers?

If someone says "Oh, that looks like fun" you can whip out a ticket and sell it to them!

That's one of the reasons I wanted the smaller ones, Stuart. Did that on Thursday, took along a pile of tickets and a pile of those laminated thingys. Said if they didn't come, I'd have no choice but to leave them all in Cambridge!! Lots of them are thinking about it & expressed interest.

Hi Peeps, getting really worried.

I've distributed those leaflets all over the place but nobody will bloomin' commit themselves!!! Really peed off - only sold one ticket and that was to Stuart!!

I guess they'll all make their minds up at the last minute and, if there aren't enough I'll lose the deposit.

Any ideas? Not sure what else I can do except nag people until they're so fed up with me, they'll buy a ticket.

Even if OH wasn't working that night it would still be too difficult for me to get away as I'm still breastfeeding DD at night. Haven't been anywhere in 3 years lol.

Hi peeps, don't know what to do about this barn dance - lots of peeps say they'd love to come but haven't actually bought a ticket. Loads more peeps say they can't come cos date is no good.

Don't know whether I've got a hope of getting enough people now & can't think of anywhere else to advertise.

Also, they've now closed the tsunami appeal, saying funds are now being re-routed somewhere else, ie Africa & other deserving causes. I could still get it to the stricken areas via my boss's Rotary Club as what they've collected goes straight there via Rotary International.

I don't know what to do. I will be so disappointed if I have to cancel due to total lack of support. I'm not having a go at you lot, by the way, just sounding you out for advice. I realise most of you are too far away to come to it.
