Son and Hubby love all of those CB especially the Stollen, we have had 2 already. My downfall and secret pleasure is chocolate log.

As mentioned in my weekly shopping thead I am loving the goodies that Aldi and Lidl are selling. They have stuff that the british shops dont sell - and anything with marzipan in it has the thumbs up from me. Also love Lidl's liquers with Advocaat in (inside dark chocolate)

Ooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yes I had some of them last year, love advocat.

My guilty pleasure is Baileys liquer choccies but mustn't buy them for a couple of weeks at least cos otherwise they won't be around long enough to see xmas.
Also chestnuts as tradition that we roast them on the fire on christmas eve

I was buying a packet of mint crumbles a week in poundland - then I discovered daughter had found them!!!!!! She was not happy when I told her there were none for her for xmas because P/land had run out and the one packet she hadn't found were all mine.
I tend to buy a little something in the chocolate line every week, trying not to spend more than a pound or so and then I have emergency handouts, sweets for guests and just loads of stuff going free.:-)

Chocolate log for me too; and anything with Marzipan. Love Stollen but its too more-ish and quite fattening; who on earth can stop at one slice......?

Do you know how many calories in a Stollen? Have a look on the pack!

I have eaten 4 individual Aldi CHRISTMAS PUDDINGS, highly recommend them;) as they have more than your daily 5 fruits in.

Who cares - OH is on his 4th log so far but Lidl should run out soon. Me I can easily stop at half a slice. Rather useful for stabilising son's blood sugar - have you seen how much sugar in one!

I've never even seen stollen or tasted it. I don't fancy it, it's got a funny name.
I tend to eat a lot less at Christmas than any other time. I haven't eaten chocolate for three months or so, don't even miss it. I've got loads of chocolate here now, selection boxes, chocolate oranges, chocolate Santas, but I haven't touched any.

I'm the only one in my house that likes stollen.. so I buy stollen bites from Lidl... they are yummy, cheap and keep longer than a big one once it's been cut.x

I love marzipan but can take or leave Stollen. Just as well really as I am wayyyyy fat enough! lol

Is that because you're working your way through that cooking brandy? Or because you're on this fitness kick with all your swimming?
That's not cooking brandy grumpy! (although I'll admit, it's only Tesco's own Napoleon) . I've bought it two weeks running now and both weeks it was delivered with the security top still on!!
I stopped eating chocolate to lose weight but that's all I stopped. I still have the wine and crisps and pies etc. etc. I lost 10lb but no more!

oh well done CG, oh I could do the same......
it's crisps with me, I see pringles are on offer for £1 all over the place...I just can't buy them as they'd be eaten. There must be something on them to make you want to eat them.....my willpower is pants......
You should ring up and complain about the tags too, someone in the store is being a bit thick.....

I was going to ask if I was the only person who hasn't tried Stollen ...... & then I saw CG's post so didn't feel so alone
I do want to ask CG why she has bought so much chocolate if she doesn;t eat it
........ what a waste CG
