Not fat, CG - Cuddly! 😛

You've had invasive surgery. The body does not like it, and reacts adversely. It will all settle down, truly. You will be so glad once you're all healed and mobile again and will wonder why you were so upset.

Continue on the bravery trail. Everyone is sending good vibes through the airwaves - that'll help :-x

Twishy :^O A shark that doesn't like chicken or omelettes, maybe . . .

Now this is a shark attack one LOL.  Just to cheer you up CG - this was OH's neck where they took skin for a skin graft about 3 weeks ago and there's hardly a mark there now..Yours is going to heal as well and sooner than you think.

I'm not in bed yet.:-D  I keep getting a strange overwhelming fatigue where, a couple of times a day I just feel as though I'm going to fall down I'm sooo tired. I lay down and as my head touches the pillow I'm out!:O

Guardpig, that looks as though they tried to behead him!!!:O

Chickengrandma...................

You need to rest when you feel like that CG.  You don't need to get into bed, but lie on the top with a blanket over you and have a wee nap.

Your body is working overtime because it has been 'invaded'.  So all your cells are rushing about doing more than usual - that is why you are tired.  Elphaba no doubt could explain it all so much better than I can.

I made my OH have a wee rest twice a day when I saw him flagging.  I don't mean to nag, but OH did as he was told and, after a fashion (getting comfy), slept at night too.

Be good :-x  I mean you ain't exactly a spring chicken, are you >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> and runs

Was very gruesome and got worse before it got better but 3 weeks later and you'd have trouble finding a scar.  You are going to heal fine, honest.

Previous op OH had was a shortie under general and he was affected much more by tiredness that time.  He'd start something and have to rest, had me driving him for a couple of weeks, couldn't make it round Asda without retiring for a coffee(nothing new there apart from his pasty whiteness!), spent more time flaked out than awake and that went on for a couple of weeks.  Cue same type of op under local and, although not able to work, he was driving to Wales 4 days later bright as a button.  You are reacting normally.

so, how are we today then? hope you are feeling a bit more rested, and taking it easy.

You probably will feel tired for a while but it's not the end of the world to have a nap when you feel like it.

I sat on the swing this afternoon, with my fleece on, a scarf, and a hoooge blankie, listening to the birds, and I fell asleep for a wee while too. I had a ball, I love that hammock:^O

Chickengrandma...................

I'm doing fine thanks everypeeps.:-D  The reason I'm tired is because I don't sleep much after four and get up at six.  This is because I'm so stiff with laying on my back for hours.  If I could turn over I'm sure I'd sleep for England like I used to.

Sometimes my hip/thigh hurts and some times it doesn't.  I'm sure it hurts most where the lowest stitch is as it seems very tight and I have a big dent in my leg just there. Also the exercises!:O  They're just too painful to do!!

There isn't much bruising at all. A slightly yellow patch running down my leg and a purple bruise on my knee.

I have enough other ones though from all the canulars and the daily blood tests and warfarin injections, plus the odd spontaneous bruises because of the warfarin.  Lots of appointments coming up.  Wound check, physio, surgeon, blood test, dentist and breast screening all in the next month!:^O
