Can't permanently delete All messages.

I'm using Android phone, i delete messages but they get "archived" so i try deleting them there and they reappear in "deleted" messages. No matter what I'm trying nothing gets rid of them permanently. Tried helpline but get computerized assistant which is useless. Only option i can think left is to delete my account which id prefer not to do.

Any constructive advice would be appreciated.

From what iv'e read deleted messages are archived and then completely deleted 6 months later.

Thanks for quick reply. I initially thought there may be a time period before complete deletion, but my messages date back to start of February this year and they're still not gone, hence my asking the question. I just find it frustrating that a member cannot delete unwanted messages. 

  Appreciate your advice though. Maybe there's another option.

Maybe switch devices and browsers?

Using the phone / app there are limited functions there, switch if you can to a laptop / PC,  and try Chrome that works well with eBay.  

Tick the little box left off the items ,a dustbin icon appears above, click on that... message removed.

Don't actually have a PC etc but I'll see if I can get access via someone else and give your suggestion a go.
