Boring Tuesday's teatime

So............I am a little bored today hence the title.

Son is having lamb stew with carrots parsnips onions and celery - cooking in the slow cooker. My curry is thrice wrapped and heating in the same pot.

Remember - it takes 17 muscles to smile and 44 muscles to frown - SO KEEP SMILING 🙂

Boring Tuesday's teatime

I managed to get a slot for my home shop delivery on the 23rd this morning so I have been sat ordering my Christmas delivery, that was boring, thinking of all the things to get, I am sure I have forgotten a load of things.

Tonight we are having, chicken curry cooked in the cook pot from yesterdays leftovers, smells nice.

We are going to have sausage, new potatoes and baked beans.  I'm looking forward to it as I'm already peckish.

I booked my slot yesterday and just dumped 30squids worth of basics in the trolley.  Once I have sat down and worked out the menus, snacks and sandwiches then I will go and do the order properly, probably on the 22nd!!!! I do tend to buy long lasting stuff like mince pies or must haves like the meat and cake when I see it because they always run out and you don't get it at all.

I have decided to go into the store & buy all my Christmas stuff. I can see all the offers & am less likely to forget anything.

OH decided one year to do just that rather than pay for delivery. I gave him the LIST and told him not to come back without everything on it. He hasn't argued about the necessity for internet shopping since.

Went to Aldi's today so have one of their Turkey Wellingtons in the oven now. We missed out on Thanksgiving here last week so this can make up for it. Also picked up some Christmas goodies while we were there. 🙂 I am like a kid in a candy store when I go in there. LOL

Life is too short so enjoy it while you can!

I know just what you mean about Aldi Pat.  They have a lovely chocolate in at the moment.  Not only does it appeal to grown ups but Grace loves it as well especially with pouring cream on.  It's delicious.

those scotch eggs with apple are so lovely. they do mini pork pies with honey and mustard, 8 for £2 they are so crispy, I'm getting addicted to those items!!

we had tortelloni..woopy do...was boring and I'm not a great fan but it was quick.

I had a little egg custard for my supper, not hungry really, just needed the filler so I don't have a wobbly in my sleep.

I'm really tired tonight though.
