I went out on my bike this morning, first time since the scares I had back in September; pleased to say I really enjoyed it, and apart from the usual, where some motorists come up behind far too quickly, it went without incident and I'm looking forward to my next bike ride.

The only cycle path near me is on the cliff tops, CB. Other than that, the roads are quite narrow; I like to cycle to the nearest village; there's a small holding with Ponies, Hens, Goats, Ostriches etc. so I am in my element there 🙂 Unfortunately, I can encounter big tractors en route. What a shame you had to give your bike up. I only got mine 18 months ago, prior to that I hadn't been on a bike since I was a kid, an absence of 44 years!

oh you should have seen them merc, they were hilarious!
there was one who was so sweet you could cuddle him all the time he loved it.
another who was very greedy at first, because she had been ill treated and was always starving. Her owner bred from her and once she had a hinny of her own, she calmed down so much. She would rest her head on your shoulder as if she was giving you a cuddle:-)

I used to love bike riding, we've got a huge park here which is ideal for having a long ride around.
Don't think my knees or my breathlessness would let me do it now though 😞
Aww CB the donkeys :-x My sister used to live in a little village and there was a field 5 minutes from her house which had horses in, we used to go down a lot and fuss them. There was one who had an attitude!!!.......if he had the hump.........he would ignore us and turn his back on us!!!!..........if he came trotting over we'd know that he was in a good mood :^O

I love donkeys. We often visit the Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth.:-)
