Baton down the hatches!

It looks like we're in for some rough weather later today, torrential rain and thunder storms.

My daughter and her family were stuck on the Eurostar for hours last evening, the train having lost all power due to the storms.  I think instead of arriving home around 8pm they didn't get home until well past midnight.

The weather forecast has just said they're just reaching the Kent coast at the moment.Smiley Sad

We had another short sharp shower this morning and there was a rumble of thunder in it.  About an hour so later, we had a few more spots of rain but no more rain since.  It's a lot cooler here but it's more pleasant.  According to the paper this morning, they've forecast hot weather again for the end of the week.

No rain here & it's been sunny all day but it's very windy.

Thunderstorms and very heavy showers this afternoon; I got caught out twice walking the dogs. Going to be hot on Thursday. up to 30 degrees in places.

That's what we've got forecast for Thursday and Friday, 29 degrees.  I don't mind that, I just wish it would rain.  The well isn't very deep at the best of times!

We've actually had rain (not heavy but slightly, very slightly, more than drizzle) for about four hours.  It's stopped now but I bet the grass will look much greener tomorrow. Woman Happy

After all the rain we had on Saturday, Sunday and yesterday, our lawn is looking a lot better now.  There are still one or two brown patches but not as many as there were.
