Bank holiday Monday tea thread

After having a lazy day at home in the garden tea was something simple.

Stuffed portabello mushrooms with a huge amount of Jersey royals (and butter).

I fancy Fish & Chips but am too lazy to walk up the road to get them! lol Might be a bacon sandwich instead.

Home boiled ham with jacket potato here.  I roasted one ham joint earlier, and the girls polished it off on sandwiches!  This one has been simmering most of the day and is just falling off the bone now 🙂

Chicken and salad. OH has a fish pie. I've eaten too much naughty stuff this weekend.

Re: Bank holiday Monday tea thread

The food I had in hospital was quite good.

Roast dinner.

Breakfast.

For tea today we had cod steak, oven chips and sweet corn.  Daughter has been cooking for us and then she rings when she's plating up and he goes and gets it, but she's gone out today. 😞

The food's not been too bad the last three times my mum's been in hospital.  At the hospital my mum's been in, there is quite a good choice.  Last time my mum was in, she ordered ham salad and trifle for afters for the day she was discharged.  Because we had to wait so long for her medication and I was waiting with her, mum had the salad and I had the trifle.  It was good.

For our tea tonight, we had turkey with stuffing and steamed mixed vegetables.  It was good.
