I know the feeling.  When we changed to Sky, it took three weeks to even get a router.  They were supposed have sent one out which was faulty and they sent another one which was failed delivery.  I let them know in no uncertain terms that they were being economical with the truth as they they hadn't even sent one router out faulty or otherwise.  Also, someone had been in waiting for the router to come.

I remember you saying about that.. I think you have to be one step ahead of these Broadband companies. I do not know who to change to apart from to Sky or if i can do my telly and broadband cheaper. I know i have gone on about this before,,, but they seem to get as much money out of you as possible. They have told an out and out lie which i have proof of and they are going to have to back off i think!!!!!!!!!!. We will see.

We had trouble with S*Y when we moved, we got the dish, sorted the phone and broadband, everything on track, came to D Day and nothing happened, they took our money, upshot was I rang to find out what was happening and they got back to me the next day and said that the village we were in the exchange didn't support the broadband and phone so we could only have the telly. Doh! would you not have thought they would have checked that first, we then went to BT which took another 3 weeks to set up and kept the TV purely because even the freeview reception is rubbish here.  The thing was it cost as much for just the TV as it did for all three.

We gave up the TV about 4 years ago as we were sick of paying £45.00 per month to watch the same old stuff over and over again.

That's a lot. I was paying £24 for the family entertainment bundle but I have just treated myself to a Sky+ box for an extra £5 a month.

That was because we had a package to cover everything, the fact that we couldn't get everything meant nothing to them as we had signed a contract, things got a bit heated for a while there.

We would love to have it again, but my OH is a stubborn old git and won't go back to them even if they paid him to.

My daugher & her partner left Sky for about 18 months & Sky contacted them with a very good offer for 12 months. When the year is up they will cancel again.

I have no phone as i asked for it to be taken off and they told me yes it would be cheaper!. Now just telly on Large size programme viewing and internet. No Tivo. No Hd. Their telling me its £47???? now. i only paid abot £35 to £40 before. now how does that work out cheaper. The discount on the full bundle has been taken away but they never told me that. They told me £29.15 a month.

I dont know who to go with to make it cheaper.

Are Freeview televisions on broadband packages or are they a telly you buy?, therefore seperate?.

I just dont know what to do now. I have written again this morning as i got a letter still saying its £40 something quid. I have sent a letter back and an e.mail with the amount in black and white what they told me and said if they do not sort it im going with someone else. But who thats the question?.

Phone through to retensions (thinking of leaving Virgin) they can do better deals than the call centres unless you manage to get hold of someone in the UK

VM like you to take their phone line, normally it saves you money, packages can be more expensive if you don't have a phone even if you never use it

The poor people in the call centres DO NOT receive big fat cheques and only work from a script

Have you gone for direct debit and electronic billing, both save you money

Freeview TVs just receive the freeview channels, you will need to get your own broadband. Don't forget if you go for ADSL like BT or Sky then you will have to have pay for a phone line as well, only Virgin doesn't require you to have a TV to physically get broadband (unless you go for the BT fibre optic which is expensive and only available in some areas)
