Baby has arrived.

Just had a text from son to say little girl arrived at 10.40 a.m.  Mother and baby well. Weight 7lbs 8ozs.

Typical fella - no more details or photos, not even a name, but at least she is here safely.  

That makes grandchild No. 6 - 4 boys and 2 girls.  Evens it up a bit.

The other grandma will have fun as her son and wife had a baby boy yesterday!!

Want to get in car and race up to Nottingham but had better await orders!  Will post photos asap.

Here she is - Charlotte Freya - taken just after she was born this morning.

Daughter-in-law Ruth looks so happy.

Big brother has been introduced and has had cuddles.

I think he chose her second name.

We're going to meet her tomorrow so I'll be sure to take lots more pictures.

Thanks books.  I'm really chuffed with her name as my grandmother was called Charlotte but my son hadn't realised that when they chose it.

Loved your photos from the Lake District - we keep saying we ought to go again.  Used to go camping there every summer when our kids were young.

I took quite a few pics today but too many to put on.  I'll probably take some more when we go up to Kendal in three weeks or so.  I love the Lake District as well.  Bowness was very busy today and there were loads of Japanese people there as well.

Yes, I love the names too.

 My son's two daughter's middle names are the two names of my daughter's two main dolls when she was a child, but the children's middle names were both chosen by their mother!!:O
