Are we all ready for tonight's onslaught!!!!!!!

So ladies.....are we all prepared for the ghosts and ghoulies that will be upon us this evening?

I dont particularly like children knocking on my door.....and when my son was about 7 (he is now 15) I allowed him to dress up and go knocking on my friends and neighbours door.........I had previously asked everybody he went to whether they were happy for this to happen.....I didn't just let him descend on strangers. Of course because I asked them they were perfectly happy with this.

I shall be buying a small packet of goodies just in case.....I dont mind, particularly if I see the children have their parents or an adult with them supervising. After about 8pm though I will make sure I turn the lights down low to pretend I am not in as I feel that after 8pm the little ones shouldnt be out and about and in bed instead. Anything after 8pm tend to be the terrible teenagers.

Of course the big questions is...........................what to do with the sweets not given out 🙂 yum yum I will buy the sweets that I like, just in case!

The local shops nearby have, for the last week or so, had notices on the door saying that eggs and flour will not be sold to anyone under the age of 18

I do have a pumpkin here.............but I shall actually be cooking with it rather than hollow it out.

Have fun.....................................

Remember - it takes 17 muscles to smile and 44 muscles to frown - SO KEEP SMILING 🙂

Same here... no one at all despite having seen them on the street when we were driving home at 6.

When kids were young it was manic, our house is almost next to the chippy, newsagent, bookies etc so everybody knew where we lived.   That lot were well out of hand when they became teenagers so we used to lock up after the littlies and go up the pub.

This year we had 3/4 lots all accompanied by parents and about infant school age.  Despite offering more they each politely took one and only one sweet each!!!!!!!!!!! Never had so few or so polite.  Will be eating the rest of 2 bags of sweets later!.

We had no-one round either. Not looking forward to several nights of fireworks, as my dogs will be terrified. Be glad when its over, for their sakes.

I DO ACTUALLY MISS BUYING SWEETS FOR THE CHILDREN. I used to live in a house with my parents before and used to love selecting sweets and handing them out. If its done nicely its Fine!!!!.
