I have yet to be able to apply a screen protector properly! it looks so easy when you see a demonstration of how to apply one perfectly; just put one on my new phone and it has more bubbles in it than an Aero bar oh and the odd hair has sneaked under as well. good job I've ordered some more........

When I used to cover school library books with clear sticky plstic I would smooth it on gradually with a plastic ruler.

Maggie...you must have been one of the posh kids...
we used newspaper, or if we were very lucky - old wallpaper

I was librarian at my kids junior school & covered the library books. I remember using wallpaper for my books when I was at school though! lol

Yup and it smelt awful too.
I have given up with the screen protectors, used a whole packet just trying to get one on, I am sure they do it to sell more.
Life is far too short.

Would it go on smoother if you lightly moisten a cloth and wet the screen with it?

i dont think wetting the screen is a good idea with this type of item
you have to make sure its really clean and you are in a dust free environment
do it on a table of a tray if you dont have a table
i did 2 on our mobiles this week
found that doing the long side better than trying the short one
dont try to do it too fast

the tip i got was using your 3 hands hold phone with hand 1 slowly peel using hand 2 and push with a credit card etc with hand 3 .then when you get more bubbles and fluff you take it of and put it in the bin

i nearly said try and wedge it where it wont move of get someone to hold it 🙂
i found the hardest thing was that first edge being straight, the one i did were very f;exible, camee with a cleaning cloth and smoother-out-er

Sheesh you lot make life difficult. All you need is my daughter. She had a sleeve thingy and a protector on her phone one day. When asked if it was difficult to fit she hadn't a clue. She had just smiled sweetly and looked helpless and the young man fitted it all for free!!!!!!!!!!!!!
