They made it into the top 10 in this competition - the winner will receive £5,000 towards their cause.

Charlie Grainger is a local boy who is in America right now receiving specialist treatment, not funded by the UK, so that he has a chance to walk.

One of my daughter's friends had this surgery last summer and the results for him are fabulous.

Charlie has had the surgery and is now having intensive physio until he returns home in a couple of weeks. His twin brother has started school and Charlie hopes to join him there soon x

I looked at Charlie's FB page last night at updates from USA and everything's looking good. 

I just wish Charlie & others like him didn't have to travel so far and pay so much for this treatment. 

As far as the competition goes.... Charlie is a very worthy cause but the other leading ones are cancer related charities and they all deserve £5k.

Thanks again for all your votes. At the moment a charity helping dogs in Afghanistan is in the lead  which whilst I am an animal lover, I would much prefer the money to go to either a cancer related charity or Charlie.

They're around 100 ahead. Voting ends at the end of the month though, so there is lots of time for things to change.
