I used to know someone who restored those sorts of cars, died a while ago unfortunately.

I recognise the view, I may have been there.

No, he died about 10 years ago now, his last car was a Daimler saloon. And yes, I stood at a different location around there.

Daimler saloon?  You mean one of those impressive big ones often used as limousines in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s?

The Principal at my school in the 1980s had one of those big Bentley Mk 6 types from the 1950s; he was renowned for the speed with which he went along the country roads surrounding the school...!!

Nice, I saw a MK2 in the same garage as the Daimler, there was another one, but I can't remember what it was.
