Views I know very well. The beach on the other side of Criccieth Castle is a pebble beach, with a high sea wall along the beach front which I have climbed up many times down the years.

Didn't go that far, but did of course have to walk right past the castle while on the way to the railway station.

I recommend the Castle Fish & Chips shop just across the street on the way up to the castle!

...if you spot the retro BEA liveried Airbus going in or out of Ringway, I'd advise aiming a zoom lens at it to capture the image for posterity.  It's scheduled for withdrawal at the end of this calendar year...

It was last at Ringway overnight 9th / 10th March, so it must be due for another rotation there soon... they like to try to get it on as many A319 routes as they can.

Guessing you know how to search forwards for it?

Just Google G-EUPJ then click on the Flight Radar 24 result - which would usually be one of the first two or three results.  Should show you the schedule for it for at least the following 48 hours.

Unfortunately there's no flights to Manchester for it yet! Looks like I'll need to get the loooooooooooong lens out 😁

It's due there on Wednesday evening, but the timing would probably require you to be at the actual airport for lighting reasons.

BA1398 from Heathrow 17.35 to Ringway 18.40

BA1405 departing Ringway 19.05.

Those times will, of course, be gate times rather than wheels up and wheels down times.
