Nope, that is my title, I claimed it last month 😉
I's back from my week away, turned 36 on the 10th, had a great time, except for one small thing.... I almost broke my left knee! I was out windsurfing on my 2nd day there, wind changed, couldn't correct my sail fast enough, fell off the board, but my foot caught the edge and *crack * *pop*, my lower left leg goes 45 degrees the wrong way! I therefore have to be rescued from the middle of the loch and I spend the rest of my week hobbling around doing the other stuff I was to do there.. still hobbling now and will be for the next couple of weeks!

Ouch, cke, that must have hurt? I have in the past been clobbered by the boom on a sailing boat - twice!
36? Young whippersnapper.... ![]()

it did, and still does 😉
I have also been clobbered by the boom on a sailing boat, along with the boom and mast of my windsurfing board too... almost got killed by the mast of a sailing boat, missed flattening my skull by 4 inches, also almost got impaled through my heart by a boat rudder spike, if I was leaning any further forward, it would have gone straight in through my ribcage and into my heart, rather than just piercing my wetsuit, all of this happened at the same place I just been to! It's all part of the fun

I've been towed off sandbanks in Theale Lake on at least two occasions. I should add that all this was during my 5th form / 6th form at school - I haven't been sailing since.

I've never banked myself in a sailing boat, so I can't compare notes on that, but I have been cracked once or twice by the boom when it has swung round the other way, which is somwhat painfull, though never hit that hard, only ever when I'm wind-sailing.

It was rather a red-face moment, cke - especially as the sailing club Commodore had only ewarned us of the presence of the said sandbank a few minutes earlier, and he was even less impressed when we did it again at the next lesson a week or so later on the exact same sandbank.....
