We have recently had our conifers removed so that has opened up alot more growing areas. 🙂 So far I have two new blueberry bushes, 5 new black currant bushes, today I started an asparagus bed, and the other day I did a strawberry tower. 🙂
We have a plum tree, apple tree, raspberrys, red currants and a gooseberry bush too. 🙂 Rhubarb is already for picking. And I have some seedlings going too. 🙂 I need to sort out the raised beds for the normal veg. And I am trying some new things this year. Horseradish will go in a tub, globe artichokes will be a first and some new fresh green type of plants.... Amaranth and callaloo. And of course lots of flowers and plants for the bees. 🙂

Crikey, this all makes me feel SO lazy! We've still been having hard frosts here, and there's snow on the hills again this morning, so I'm a bit loathe to put anything out yet. I like the idea of putting seedlings on the windowsills though.

My seedlings are all in microwave meal trays... and the propagater tops are either clear plastic pots from fruit and veg..( tomatoes, grapes etc.)... or.. the plastic dishes from the chinese takaway...

Everyone seems to be doing well with their growing. We've got a blueberry bush in the back garden. It's just coming into bud.

I've just asked my mum and she seems to think that you can. We had our blueberry bush in a pot for a while and it did well. When it had finished last year, I planted in the garden. It is now in bud so we'll see how it does this year.

I have managed to mow the lawn this afternoon and I'm suitably shattered now. I hate the first mowing of the year. Still, it looks better now.

We only have a lawn at the back as we had the front lawn taken up about five years ago. Our front garden is a rectangle shape. In the centre, we have an oval shape edged with bricks with slate chippings in the centre. We still have the border with shrubs, roses and plenty of bulbs in. In the centre, we do have some pots which have bulbs coming through now. We've got about three small tulips in flower in the back garden.
