Often eBay UK feels to me like a testing ground for eBay.com - for example automated feedback has just started to roll out in the States; and they are dreading promotions' fees becoming disassociated from actual sales or halo sales (like ours are now).
Sometimes this works the other way around, so here's hoping this has a positive impact:
eBay Sellers Visit Policymakers in Washington D.C.
An invited Seller who attended said both politicians and the CEO of eBay were very interested in meeting him and hearing about his experiences. At the drinks party, the CEO asked them to tell him everything wrong about eBay in a nutshell, took notes, and shared some planned changes.
The Members of Congress were meeting with Sellers because the VeRO program is potentially being misused by some companies to stamp out competition on eBay, and they are considering new legislation to protect eBay businesses. Hopefully some positive changes will come our way in 2026.
