im presently listing some postcards but struggling with postage options, i have selected package size upto 100g / letter and it automatically states buyer will pay rates starting from £2.70 . The cost would never be 2.70 for a basic postcard but there is literally no other options to select...please help

Sounds like the new "Simple Delivery" option. According to the blurb you should be able to select Custom Postage from the delivery options. Then you can use RM letter/large letter. Other way apparently is to create a postage policy (Account Settings, Business Policies) and it will allow you to create a policy which you can select when listing

I have had the same problem. The buyer chose, It didn't work twice, the first time the machine at the sorting office didn't work twice, the man tried it but blank labels. The second time I got a label but the lady at post office said it didn't work and I had to call eBay to void the label and they would do another for me. The next time it printed. I thought all was good but an hour later the post office lady came to my door saying " I'm sorry, I should have noticed but we were talking but this label won't cover the postage costs, it's for a large letter not a small parcel, she gave me the parcel back. I then took the parcel back and sent it by the same posting method that the buyer picked and it cost me 50 p more but I didn't mind that. The parcel then got lost. The item was sentimental to me ii only sold because I needed the money. The item was worth £78. I had to refund the buyer but nobody has refunded me. It's heartbreaking. eBay don't want to know. I wish I had kept my item, I had my name and address on the back too but I doubt I will get it back. Be careful of this. I feel like going to the papers with this
