Won then lost

I bid and won then the auction re-opened and someone else won. I bid with 4 secs to go (ebay clock and radio clock synced) with a green win sign then auction reverted back by 9 secs. Not sure whether eBay corrupt or their software-yet again- is ****** up.-now what a shock that would be.

Rather than corruption, or the system being ****ed up, it is an issue related to bid sniping. eBay do warn buyers that it takes a few minutes to confirm an auction win.

Elsewhere they give further details:

'If you've recently experienced an auction win only to lose it later, it's understandable to be confused and 

upset. eBay's system can sometimes lead to unexpected outcomes, especially when bidding in the last few

seconds.'
