Theft of our goods by Ebay!

I have just sold  a pair of binoculars for my husband on Ebay.

My first sale.

I tried to send them to the buyer using Evri but the system does not have our postcode on it. We live in a new build.

I was told that it would take months for the system to be updated so I should use Royal Mail. I did.

The binoculars are now in the post via Royal Mail. 

I was forced to open a PAYPAL account to pay for the postage. I did not want it. However, I now have it.

After paying postage and putting them in the post EBay have closed my account!

They will not tell me why or discuss it.

They put the phone down on me and closed my account.

I therefore have no way of recovering the money owed for them.

If we do not receive payment I will go to the police for theft.

We have written to the buyer by snail mail to explain and can only hope he is decent about it.

Any advice please?

Thank you so much for encouraging me to ring them again.

My experience this time was very different.

I was shocked to be told that all new sellers are treated this way. Ebay want the time to risk assess each new seller and carry out checks. Well OK but tell them.

Don't tell them their account is suspicous and permanently restricted without appeal and put the phone down on them. That doesn't make sense and is very worrying for a new seller.

It is now up and running again and I am grateful to all of you who provided constructive comments.

BUYERS HASSLING ME ITEM WAS DELIVERED HE HAS THEM BEING RUDE AS HE DIDNT PAY FOR OTHER ORDER CONTACTED PO HOW DO I REPORT THIS LIE TO EBAY

I have a buyer lying saying he didn't receive his item he signed for it at his store but eBay won't ever look and found me at fault giving the buyer my money and his item back and I can't get anywhere with them I have proof he signed for it I have messages saying he would remove the dispute because he had the items admitted to having the item but eBay still sided with him isn't that theft by deception

eBay is incompetent fools helping bums created fraud and doing nothing about it please contact me eBay the man signed for his item so his did he not receiver it I won't hear a thing y'all act like narsist refusing to admit wrong doing when it's clear I'm going blow corporates phone up I'll call everyday for the next ten years this is theft and eBay I challenge you to do the right thing look into it you must have incompetent fools running you're buissness

Why didn't you get the advertised seller protection by having online proof of delivery?  Did you respond correctly to the open case?

I was in the hospital in ICU from a car wreck no chance to respond I was on
the vent for four days and I did show proof were he signed for it and the
insurance had hid signature too

Unfortunately ebay doesn't take account of personal circumstances and sticks rigidly to the case time limits.  As you didn't respond within those time limits they will have told the buyer to keep the item and given them a refund with your money.

You agreed to the money back guarantee rules when you used the site to sell.

That's bull he had the items when he filed the dispute that's theft by
deception I was on the vent and if someone can't do something about it
there is laws in this country about theft by deception
