Between the multiple scams (iPhone 16 purchased and cloakroom tickets arrive), the eBay, 'Simple Mail Delivery' scam, is far worse than any criminal scam enterprise because in eBays eyes whet they've done is legal!
Simple Mail i yet another fanciful idea that's making eBay money at the expense of the seller and buyer. Almost as Bad as the Evri and Yodel scam!
eBay have gone to Royal Mail and negotiated a 'lowest possible rate" for the 'slowest possible service' Royal Mail provide for sending a parcel of any description. Whether you choose 24hour tracked, 48hour tracked, your parcel is NOT going to be tracked because Royal Mail have not agreed to provide tracking in the rate they have agreed with eBay. tracking is NOT 'live' tracking!
What eBay have done is screwed Royal Mail to the floor on the basis of Royal Mail getting 1000's of parcels going through their sorting offices and Royal Mail have been stupid enough to believe they can make money from this deal. THE ONLY ORGANISATION MAKING MONEY FROM THIS IS eBay!
So buyers and sellers suffer. And of course when you want to vent your frustrations that's not allowed!
eBay GIVE UP WITH THESE SCHEMES. You are conning the sellers and buyers.
Sellers. If you want to keep your buyers happy work with them. Ask them what they are willing to pay for delivery and especially for high value items. Any item over £50 should be a fully tracked item. Go look at parcel2go dot com for a much better deal! You the seller and the buyer can choose who you want to use.
I invite eBay to comment. Perhaps the comments will refer back to that wonderful Global Shipping scam. Charged the same rate as Fedex except[t that Fedex will deliver in 3 days, Global Shipping will deliver in 3 weeks!
