SELLING BLACK LIST

We have just received this letter from *** banning us from selling their products on eBay and suggesting that we set up our own e-commerce website or use Amazon. If we don't comply by the 31/3/2025 they say that they will take legal action against us. Has anybody else had similar correspondence?

That letter says private and confidential why are you putting it on a public forum?

Ooops sorry if that caused you concern, I thought the content of the letter to be of more importance than an attempt to keep us stum!

I would say they were more concerned for if legal action should be taken, the fact you shared the letter stated private and confidential isn't exactly going to look great for you.

Anyway, brands are within their right to do this. They have been clear they have a reseller that has been granted exclusivity to sell on marketplaces. They've given you a reasonable time frame to withdraw or remove your own stock.

They do also state that you can't sell on amazon either.

IANAL but you don't need to worry about sharing a "Private & Confidential" letter with anyone unless you have previously & mutually agreed to keep it "Private & Confidential".

You do need to worry about he contents, if you wish to continue selling these products on these marketplaces you should seek proper, qualified legal advice

Seems a pretty polite letter to me, they are within their right to do this if they are the verified brand owners.
