New Payment System - Buyer Protection Fees Deducted from Offer Prices

I have just accepted an offer of £275 for an item and it subsequently sold.  However when I received the order details I find that ebay has collected an £11.27 buyer protection fee from the buyer, and deducted it from my £275 offer price which I accepted, so I only actually receive £263.73. This surely is the same as ebay charging a fee, which they made a big deal about getting rid of only a few short weeks ago. If this policy was made clear, perhaps I wouldn't have accepted the offer in the first place. Just to make folks aware.

I've just had a similar experience - added my minimum acceptable offer price in good faith, only to accept it from a buyer, and find the charge deducted.  It's also difficult to adjust minimum offer prices on items to incorporate the fee, as it looks like (on lower value items) you've barely made an offer worthwhile!  I think I'll just stick with a price and not accept offers.... Disappointing.
