Limited listings

Is anyone else struggling with the 300 free listings? my sales have drastically fallen off becuse I cannot afford to list my cheaper items £17.50 to list 50 items!!!! to me thats not tenable, I've been selling on ebay for nearly 20 years and always use up my 1000 per month, they say that the new limit is to encourage people to sell better quality items but people still want a bargain

Re: Limited listings

Your sold items for past 90 days are 255.If you have been listing 1,000 items per 30 days that leaves 2,745 items unsold.

Roughly 90% of the items listed.

Can you imagine how much space that takes up page wise and how much time it would take members to trawl through it all.

Can you imagine what that would calculate to if 1,000 members did the same.

You are also listing in the most over populated category there is ....................😯

Re: Limited listings

Jean,

Yes I am also struggling with the new eBay 300 listings per month. I sold 18 items in Aug 17 in Sept 7 in Oct then 1 in November and 1 in Dec my sales have fallen off a cliff, I had 194 items listed so I have deleted 44, now just list 150 and let them run for 10 days wait a few days then do it again to use up the 300, I was listing all for 5 days when I had 1000 a month, I have moved a lot of mine to Vinted far better eBay dnt care about a private seller that just what's to earn a bit of extra cash and not pay fees

Re: Limited listings

You only seem to have 46 items listed ?  With 26 items sold in December,  so you can make another 300 listings in January  bringing your total to 346 and a further 300 every month thereafter plus what is unsold at the end of each month.

I am struggling to see that you have any problems with listing quantities  - you used approx 100 in December leaving 200 unused ?

Re: Limited listings

I'm sorry to hear your struggling to, to say my sales have fallen off a cliff is a understatement, I keep dipping my toes into vinted but cant seem to get any sales at all, with the new rules ebay are bringing out I think I'm done, I wounder just how many people have left ebay because of all the changes, my thing is, if it ain't broke dont fix it,
I've been selling on ebay for nearly 20 years and this last few mths is the worst its been EVER!!!
I'm waiting for summer and reluctantly will do carboots just to get rid of all the stock I have, such a shame as I did enjoy selling on here, its been a bit of a hobby as well as earning extra cash

Re: Limited listings

if struggling with 300 listings you are acting as a buisness not a private seller as you stated was making £800 - £900 pcm that can be taken as a small buisness. I would be more concerned when ebay release sales information from private sellers to HMRC for tax purposes as any additional income above £1000 PA should be disclosed
