I’d like to suggest a new feature for eBay: a “Group Offer” that allows buyers to make one combined offer for multiple items from the same seller.
Current problem:
- Buyers must submit individual offers for each item
- Time-consuming and may discourage multiple-item purchases
Proposed solution:
- Select multiple items from the same seller
- Submit a single combined offer
- Receive one response from the seller
Benefits:
- Increased sales – Sellers can close multiple-item transactions at once
- Higher buyer engagement – Easier negotiation encourages larger purchases
- Reduced abandoned carts – Simplifying the process makes buyers more likely to complete purchases
- Optional pilot program – Sellers can choose to enable it
Why it helps eBay:
- Encourages more completed transactions
- Improves user experience for both buyers and sellers
