Feedback to remain open

Would Ebay leave feedback open like Amazon does instead of locking it after a certain period  please? A lot of items become faulty after a few months and under 1 year and it Would be good to inform anyone considering purchasing the item.

EBay’s doesn’t really work like Amazon as it’s a separate listing per seller as opposed to a catalogue system.

i do occasionally see reviews link to products if they are listed via a barcode, but i don’t find it particularly useful on eBay as it isn’t that visible.

i don’t find it likely eBay would change this.

I wonder whether this, at least partly, explains why many buyers don't leave feedback at least not in a "timely" way, as they're waiting to see whether the item breaks down?

They might then go to leave feedback and discover they can't? Or time's passed and they forget?
