Defects - Resulting from eBay / Shopify App Errors

We have had 4 defects over the past year and they have reduced our seller rating from Top Rated to Above Average. The defects resulted from using the eBay Shopify App (which has been discontinued by eBay). In short, the eBay app failed to update stock levels on eBay for items sold on Shopify. This resulted in sales of out-of-stock items on eBay and this being classified as a defect.

 

We want these removed but they fall outside of the 90 day period. Has anyone had success in appealing this? If so, how?

I don't know what you're using post eBay Shopify app, but a techie eBay seller invented Flipwise app because he was unhappy with situations like this. It is now available for eBay UK [I am not affiliated].

Defects - Resulting from eBay / Shopify App Errors

I have recently noticed a number of glitches in the system where listings have been duplicated by eBay (go figure) or items I have already sold have been relisted by bots. My most recent example was one item being sold to two people at the same time. I, too, have defects on my account and, to date, they never seem to disappear. How is that fair?
