Does the seller accept returns?
If not and you opened a return case, citing the reason .... does not fit, then the case would close, and the seller would not need to refund.

The item they sent has a different part number to what they said in the add and what is on the bag it came in. And the overall size of the window seal is no where near the size of what it should be if it was for my car. What has happened to customer wrights looks like we can get ripped off and e bay don’t care as long as they have got there money. As a customer we have the weight to return a item

Thank you for that extra information we can only advise correctly, if you offer us all the necessary information.
If there is a different part number than that which is shown and described in the ad, then you can receive a full refund under eBay's 30 day MBG, Money Back Guarantee policy if you claim within 30 days of the item's last estimated date for delivery.
You have received an item not as described, so you are guaranteed a full refund under eBay's 30 day MBG, Money Back Guarantee policy, if you claim within 30 days of the item's last estimated date for delivery.
You then go right of the item in your Purchase History, and from More Actions select Return this item, selecting the reason... Item Not as Described.
The seller has 3 days to accept the case, if they don't , you need to escalate on day 4, or within 30 days, and eBay will step in and force the refund.
If the seller wants the item back first, they need to pay for a fully tracked return postage. On receipt of their item they have 48 hours to refund you. Again, if they don't, you escalate the case.
Do not close the case early for any excuse or promise the seller may give, and do not forget to escalate.

That is what I done, asked for a refund as item doesn’t not fit etc. and the case was closed down 🤷🏼♂️

Looks like you opened the wrong case!
If you opened one for item does not fit, and if the seller does not accept returns the case can close in the seller's favour no refund is made. Do they accept returns on their listing? Then, just escalate the case on day 4 for a refund.
You should have opened a case for item not as described, citing item Does Not Match Description or Photos.
This a seller cannot refuse and has to refund, pay for the return tracked postage, if they don't , you just escalate the case, eBay step in and force the refund.
