Buyer paid through ebay and collected but claimed they haven’t collected

Hi, So I sold an item for collection worth £350 and they buyer collected it and paid via eBay payment system. The conversation on the eBay app was to meet up at the specific time and he sent his number through an image but after we meet up he send a message saying he’s unable to meet up. I forgot to scan the qr code upon collection or get the 6 digit and the buyer is claiming he never collected the item. What do I do now?

Get a crime number and see if any cctv footage where you met? eBay probably won't help you should have got the collection code.
