I get the 'error page' each time I try to pay for the items I have won. It is early morning now and I shall leave it until afternoon.
Has anyone else had this problem? Obviously I can access the site otherwise I would not be able to write this, but it is worrying that I cannot pay for my items.

Yes same here. Each time I've tried the same error occurs.

I have written to the sellers to explain. I am glad I put it on here. I feel better not being the only one.

I have just spent a very frustrating 24 hours attempting to make a payment for a PC o £700+.
Yesterday I attempted payment via a Mastercard card registered on my account that has been used previously - payment declined - reattempted after signing-out and back in again - payment declined
Contacted card provider who indicated the problem is eBay not requesting 3D secure as this was a large transaction
Tried another card from the same provider - payment declined
Tried to get the AI Chat - just kept on getting errors and no way to 'contact a human'
Tried the help number 0800 358 6551 - Answered by AI who just stated that there was no one available to take my as out of business hours (it was 1740 UK time) - but no indication of what the business hours actually are
Emailed the problem to eBay via the contact button on the help page
Next day noted a response to my email - the email was obviously AI generated and did not give any solution just suggested I contact the card provider or try a different card
Tried a different card - VISA - payment declined
Contacted card provider - they indicated that the payment request was being made as a standard purchase and was declined as above a £100 limit and that eBay should be requesting secure authorisation for anything over £100
Tried contacting eBay Customer Services at 1600 today - answered by AI who advised that I could not contact a human as out of business hours
Tried contact eBay customer services in US(5) and Germany(1) - all numbers disconnected
Finally tried using Paypal - that worked but even then the Paypal transaction hung and did not return me to the eBay payment page
I'm exhausted and extremely concerned that their is literally no way to contact a human at eBay and that they obviously have a problem with high value payments - hopefully someone will see this but I expect it is only moderated by another AI - I hope this may at least save other peoples time if they have a similar problem

The 0800 number hasn't worked for many years, AFAIK.
The idea now is you ask ebay to call you back.

It is still possible to pay with PayPal. I have had an account with them since 2006 and it has changed a lot since then. They have never, ever rejected my cards.

It is no use my asking for a call back. I have a BT Guardian phone. It allows me to filter out unwanted calls. It sounds like an answer phone. It is possible to leave messages, but it starts with ''calls to this number are monitored... and gives instructions.
As soon as eBay hear a recording they ring off. They should listen to it. There is absolutely no way of contacting them to explain, so I don't.
I don't have a mobile phone.

There is another contact problem. I received notice of this thread via an email message from eBay Community.
In the message there is a blue link for 'REPLY' so I clicked on that, thinking it would lead to the thread, but I got an email message back which said the message is only information and there is no reply!!!
If there is no reply, why the link? Waste of time.
