new buyer protection fees

Buyers wont be interested in my small items. They were paying between £2.69 - £3.00. Now they will pay over £4.00. My ebay days are over 😞

Re: new buyer protection fees

Hang on that's no solution at all. If the fee went to the seller that might
be a possibility. But it's ebay that keeps the fee, so why should the
seller refund it? They would get less for their sale. Sorry but your
comment makes no sense at all.

Re: new buyer protection fees

I understood a 'buyer protection' fee came in on 4th February but I've yet to experience the 75p + 4% charge when buying items.  Not once have buyer protection fees been added. In each case the totals payable were the actual selling prices plus seller's stipulated postage.

Re: new buyer protection fees

No, I checked and they're definitely all private sellers, which is why I'm querying this. Otherwise I wouldn't have posted to the topic.

Re: new buyer protection fees

Lucky you.All of my listings have the BPF added.A few categories are exempt. Maybe you've picked one of those?
There was a delay in introducing the levy, as ebay were experiencing issues. My listings changed on 13th february.

Re: new buyer protection fees

Just a thought, were the private sellers UK based?
If not, they are not subject to the levy (only UK sellers)If you look at any of my 4 of listingssearch for "Job Lot of  Glam Rock vinyl 7" records " for example. All records are on for 99p my end.
The levy doesn't show on the listing, records price shown as £1.76.
ebay only shows the levy amount when you come to pay
