eBay Postage Scam

I purchased a MacBook on eBay for £1500 and didn't receive it.

The seller has somehow tampered with the Royal Mail label by changing the delivery address to a nearby hotel

Tracking number shows as delivered with a signature and the proof of postage photo clearly displays the address of the hotel and not my address.

Having contacted the seller, they threatened to come to my house if I didn't admit receiving the item.  After many back and forth messages, the seller said asked me to open the front door claiming to be outside.  Nobody was there when I opened the door and they just wasted my time.

Despite making many phone calls to eBay and spending many hours on the phone to them, they have sided with the buyer and have advised me to contact Citizens Advice Bureau which I think is absolutely disgusting.

I even contacted my local Royal Mail delivery office and the manager kindly sent me an email stating the item was not delivered to me.  I forwarded this onto eBay but they didn't accept is because they can't confirm if the email is from Royal Mail despite it having the manager's email address ending in @royalmail.com

I also contacted Royal Mail via phone to see if they can send me out a letter but they refused stating the item was correctly delivered and refused to engage with me further stating they could only disclose information to the sender.

I've filed a dispute with my bank but I'm worried if they reject it when eBay send them apparent proof of delivery.

Any suggestions and help will be appreciated and many thanks in advance.

The bank should take your evidence seriously.  Stick with that claim.
