Hello there I have opened a case with a seller to return an item that arrived damaged with parts missing. Feet dragging has led to the case being passed to eBay. However, during the case, which will be finally decided on the 21st, the seller has said he will send a label. He is asking for my email address to process this. Is this normal, or some kind of trick to dodge the mbg?
Help appreciated.

there's no need for you to comply as the seller should send the label through the case.

This is what I thought. I'm not even sure you can even send contact details through eBay messages as it gets blocked doesn't it?

Have you escalated the case to eBay so it's in their hands?
they should issue a label or a refund.

Yes, I did that.
eBay are saying that the seller should make arrangements for a return label. It has been escalated, but they will only decide on the 21st. I've not been in this situation before and it would seem that all the seller needs to do is go through the eBay system in order to produce the label.
Assuming this is the case why would the seller asked for my email address through eBay messages? Can I ignore this request for an Addy and wait it out?

A label issued through a case will have the address eBay require you to return to and unless you return to that address using the label you won't get a refund.
A label issued 'privately' to your Email address can have any address the seller wants.
