Shoes

I've just purchased a pair of shoes on ebay on the 27th March. When I purchased them the delivery said the would be delivered by the 3rd of April. Now the delivery is between the 5th and the 9th of Apr.  The thing is I need them for the 8th for a funeral that's why I purchased them. They have not even been posted yet and the seller is not responding to my messages.  Can you please help locate them as I need to know weather to get another pair .

This is just a board of users not Ebay, we can't help you locate them.

The change in delivery date is probably because you are looking at the sellers listing so it is showing you the delivery date if you bought them today.

What you need is to look at the item in your purchase history, there it will tell you your expected delivery date. If it is a day later than the latest expected delivery date you can click on the more actions and select "I didn't receive my item" and open a case. You can then select I want a refund and the buyer has about 3 days to refund you and if they don't you can ask Ebay to step in and force a refund. If the seller does contact you do not close the case if they say they will refund you as long as you close the case. They won't refund you and you won't be able to open another one. The case will automatically close when the seller refunds you.

Also if you leave feedback after all this do not say anything about having to open a case or having to get Ebay to step in (if you need to), as this is against Ebay feedback rule and enough for a savy seller to get the feed back removed.

Unfortunately if I was you I would look at buying some shoes elsewhere.

Adding to the above advice, it's worth bearing in mind that Ebay's estimated delivery date algorithm usually ignores the sellers setting - I have a 4 working day shipping window plus 3-5 working days for the courier yet Ebay are estimating delivery of 7th to 11th April.

If you need something for a specific date it is always worth checking with the seller first.

In addition to what has already been said, if you're buying shoes for something like a funeral then you want to be certain that the shoes you end up buying not only look right, but fit right as well and don't make your feet hurt when you're walking in them.  Therefore, I think the best option in this scenario would be to take a trip to a local High Street retailer who is selling the kind of shoes that you're looking for, as that way you can actually try the shoes on prior to purchase and see how they feel when you're wearing them and actually walking in them before making a decision as to whether or not to pay for them.  None of this is possible when buying shoes online, as you can only do this if the shoes actually arrive, and even if they do, in the event that they don't fit comfortably or the seller has inadvertently sent you the wrong size, colour, model, etc, you've then got the added stress of having to return them to the seller for a refund.

In view of the fact that there's so little time left to the date of the funeral, if you have not already done so by the time you read this reply open an Item Not Received case and only close it down if the shoes turn up before the deadline and you are completely happy with them.  Do not close the case for any other reason, and escalate the case to eBay if need be in order to get a total refund of the money that you paid to the seller.

Has the seller not given you a tracking number ? ,because there should be one somewhere .If you don't get the shoes by 4th I would think about buying another pair and then open a case for item not been received
