Sellers based in China ?

I have bought a couple of items that had to be returned but the seller just refunded and didn't want the item returned to them, it appears they have no Uk address and I'm guessing they are some kind of drop shipping seller that is running the business from China and abandoning everything that is faulty  ? 

Is my guess right or is it another scheme ?

Sometimes the price of a tracked postage is more than the actual cost or cost of production of an item,  so opening a case for item not as described,  if the seller cant justify paying for that return postage,  so fully refund straight away, no return necessary.

This happens from sellers located not just in China, refunds without the need for a return.
