Hi, I’m really frustrated because I haven’t received a refund for a toothbrush I returned within its warranty. I mistakenly sent £74.99 to the seller instead of requesting a refund, and I’ve also submitted a correct refund request that’s pending. I need this sorted out as soon as possible, can I report a seller to eBay.

I honestly don't know what you hope to gain by reporting the seller.
You can't report them on the grounds that you sent them money accidentally and, I don't think that Ebay will act if you report them for not upholding a warranty.
If you have been able to open a return case through Ebay, you will not be able to ask Ebay to step in because of the amount of time which has passed. Keep on at the seller to resolve this. It is between you and the seller, Ebay will not get involved.
Below is the link to report a seller to Ebay, but there are specific, limited reasons for reporting a seller.
You can report a seller using the button below.

I’m unsure what has happened.
how did you send the seller more money?
when you say warranty, was it within the 30 days that the eBay money back guarantee?
and did the seller actually accept the return request? Or did eBay accept it on their behalf if they ignored it.
more details required here.

How can you mistakenly send money to a Seller instead of opening a return request?
If the return request that you have now opened was dome within 30 days of delivery then I don't see that there is anything to report the seller for yet. If the seller doesn't respond within 3 full business days then you can 'Ask eBay to step in and help'.
Please note that any warranty issued by the seller or manufacturer is nothing to do with eBay.

just to clarify:
I bought the toothbrush last year in September and it stopped working within a warranty.
The eBay account in question appears to be a legitimate store with high feedback. I contacted them and said the toothbrush had stopped working. They told me because it was over a certain time I had to send it back and then request my money back via PayPal.
But I accidentally sent the money rather than requesting it because I have a visual disability and made a mistake when pressing the wrong button. I have requested a refund that as well as the funds for the toothbrush after I sent it back and sent proof of postage and they have still not refunded me either.

EBay won’t do anything after this length of time, there’s nothing you could even report them for. this is between you and the seller.

Hi op..just go through your sales order details ,or the listing details and look for the sellers contact info....I would ring them and explain your problem but you must have all info to hand e.g. date of sale, eBay order number, proof of sending extra payment,
I always start with,"hello i hope you can help me" with my query...sellers will normally respond to a polite inquiry and will be more willing to help...fingers crossed....

If you still have not been refunded, threaten legal action. It's simple, just form filling, no court appearance only documentary evidence and you get the fee back plus interest on the sum outstanding (f you win). You are in the right here and keeping your money is unlawful.

Please see what @rosasmum suggests. It is not quite that simple as the "defendant" can request a hearing and have the matter referred t his local County Court [as I recall]
Another approach is to get in touch with Trading standards for the seller [though sometimes Citizens Advice gatekeeps and prevents access].
If you made an erroneous payment your bank [or whatever] may be able to help.

You may be able to easily get that PayPal payment back.
When you send a PayPal payment you have to select a reason for the payment.
Did you select 'payment for goods' via the dropdown menu or did you send a 'Friend & Family' payment?
