MY item, a screen protector for a laptop, was delivered cracked and was delivered in inadequate packaging.I took photos and sent them to the seller and all I got from him delaying tactics.
I spoke to a an ebay consultant a few days ago and I was told that I would get a call back from ebay this morning,Fri.22nd.
What a surprise , no call, no interest.

Just open a 'not as described' case through eBay. Its fully automated, and you will get a refund. No need to contact the seller or eBay.

Your refund is guaranteed by eBay
Nobody has refused to refund you
Go to the item in your purchase history
Click "More actions"
Click "item does not match description"
open a case
Wait up to 4 days for a pre-paid return label from the seller
Send the item back at sellers expense
When delivery is made or attempted you will be auto refunded by eBay
If the seller does not send a label, on day 4 click "ask eBay to step in" and they will either issue a label or a full refund and tell you to bin the item.
Simple!

Looking at the feedback left and received, it may be too late to open a return.
When did you actually receive the item?
Leaving negative feedback asking the seller to replace the item and messaging Ebay are not effective methods of dealing with the receipt of a faulty item.
Have a read/refresh yourself as to how the Money Back Guarantee works.

It does appear from the feedback that you left that you may be out of time to do anything through eBay, you have 30 days from date of delivery to open an 'Item not as described' return request under eBay's Money Back Guarantee.
PayPal also only provide 30 days for an 'Item not as described' dispute under their Money Back Guarantee.
However, if you funded the purchase with a debit or credit card then you have 120 days from date of purchase to file a chargeback with your card issuer.

Although it may not be of much use in relation to the transaction that prompted you to start this thread, if at any point in the future you buy something off of eBay that you want to return to the seller, then if he or she just tries to fob you off by using delaying tactics when you mention that you would like to return the item for a refund open an eBay case straightaway. That way the seller will be forced to take notice of the issue - if he or she doesn't then all you need to do is escalate the case to eBay on day four. If you do this then eBay will either issue you with an eBay Returns Label so that you can return the item to the seller, after which your money will be refunded upon attempted or successful delivery of the item back to the seller. Alternatively eBay may not bother issuing you with an eBay Returns Label and will just go ahead and refund your money in full.
