Purchased but beware!

I would like to point out thus has been too long, waiting around. Item has not arrived. Tried to cancel a few days ago, just for ebay to reject it. Very disappointed. I don't advise for anyone to put up with time wasters on ebay. I won't put there name on here unless someone wants to know. Now it just doesn't want to help me, it just pointing at me to wait to a certain date. Total disregard for my mental, state, whereabouts or any other factor.

What shall I do?. I definitely want my money back none of this prehistoric caveman stuff.

What is the latest expected delivery date for your item?

You can find that in the email you got from Ebay when you paid.

If you are being directed to wait for a certain date, then the item may be on its way.

One day after the latest estimated delivery date, start an item not received case.

You can't cancel an item just because you think it is late.

You can report an item not received using the button below:

The latest expected date is 7th March. I find it's not reliable to wait for
something which is untracked. Last time the seller delivered the item one
day after the expected delivery date. Ebay has just told me the item may be
still on its way, how can I be sure. This is making me unwell. Any hearted
comments would be thankful.

The seller has done nothing wrong my listings are mainly post within 5 working days even though i usually post before that which allows for postal strikes etc. If the last expected date is 7th March it's probably fine and on it's way, the weekend does not count for posting even though people can post on a Saturday nothing is processed. Also RM are trialling a 3 day week for 2nd class letters in some parts of the country which may include your area i don't know. So if it is a letter this also has to be taken into consideration

One thing that you ought to bear in mind, in case you are not already aware of it, is that when eBay provide estimated dates of delivery they often apply unrealistic dates to sellers' listings, thus giving buyers the illusion that they are likely to receive the item a lot sooner than may realistically be the case.  Therefore, whenever I purchase anything on eBay, I tend to take this into account, and if an item does not arrive by eBay's latest estimated delivery date I will wait an extra five working days from eBay's latest estimated delivery date before making a decision to open a case.  In the vast majority of cases whereby an item has missed eBay's latest estimated date of delivery it has still turned up within an acceptable timeframe, often arriving a day or two later.  Perhaps I've just been fortunate, but there haven't really been too many cases where I've had to open an Item Not Received case against a seller - indeed, I've only had to take this course of action against one seller so far this year, and that was the first time I'd had to open an Item Not Received case against an eBay seller for quite a few years.

In view of the above I would advise you not to be too hasty with regards to opening a case just yet.  Give it a little longer, and if you still have not received the item seven days after eBay's latest estimated date of delivery has passed then I would suggest that your first course of action would be to contact the seller via eBay Messages, explaining the situation and asking when you can realistically expect to receive the item.  If the seller is helpful and makes an effort to resolve the matter amicably then hold off of opening an eBay case, as if the item subsequently turns up then there should not be any need to open a case unless the item is not as described in the listing.

In the event that the seller is uncooperative and/or obstructive then once the seven days have passed since eBay's latest estimated date of delivery, then if the item has either not arrived, or has turned up but is not as described in the listing, then open the appropriate case against the seller.  The seller will then have three working days to resolve the matter without eBay having to get involved.  If the seller subsequently sorts the matter to your satisfaction, whether that's by sending you a replacement item or issuing a total refund, then there's no need to take the matter any further.  If, on the other hand, you don't seem to be getting anywhere with the seller then on the fourth day from the date of opening the case you should see an option to escalate the case to eBay.  If it does become necessary to escalate the case to eBay so as to get them to step in and make a final decision upon the matter then you will more than likely receive a total refund of the money that you paid to the seller, so it's not as though you've got no chance whatsoever of getting your money back in the event that the item never arrives, or turns up but is not as described in the listing, and the seller proves to be unhelpful.

If the item is coming by royal mail ,royal mail say their delivery times are estimates not guaranteed and Ebay's delivery dates are ridiculous they give totally unrealistic delivery times unless they think concorde is in service .2nd class post can take anything from 2 - 3 says or longer but ebay will say 1 -2 days .

It is not  a cancellation but a not receive case

You must have opened the wrong case for that message to appear.

If you've opened the wrong type of case then you've gone and made things a lot harder for yourself than they needed to be.  If as a result you cannot secure a refund via eBay then your next option would be to contact your card provider and start a chargeback.  You have  a maximum of one hundred and twenty days from the date of purchase during which to do so, so don't delay - get onto it straightaway.  That way you should still stand a chance of being able to secure a refund if you can truthfully say that you never received the item.

It is saying to wait until the 8th of March and if it has not arrived to open a not received case. Where was it coming from?

It is saying you can't open a case until tomorrow,
