Product recall ?

Anyone else had any experience of product recall messages from ebay?...got an email from ebay a few weeks ago telling me that an item i'd bought back in the spring was recalled (seriously dangerous) and to contact the seller...well I contacted the seller a few weeks ago and have had zero response..ebay are now telling me to contact the manufacturer - which i've also done with no response.

Should the seller be giving me a refund or ebay or am I just stuck with a now dangerous / useless item?

eBay's deadline for claims is still 30 days from delivery date.   If it's still within 120 days of purchase contact your payment provider and ask about a chargeback.

Unfortunately the 120 days has passed - not much use ebay telling me to contact the seller - they're just passing the problem onto the buyer - seller not responding to messages so that's £15 down the pan - thanks a lot ebay.

This place really is becoming the place not to sell or to buy.
