Hi all,

I've had this problem before, but it wasn't something as important as this.

A ww2 German Compass box, no guns no ammunition no blades in sight.

I've had the red message, 

"Dear Buyer,
To prevent circumvention of eBay.de's Gun and Knife Policy, you are not able to bid on or purchase this item.

Thank you for your understanding.

Ebay Trust & Safety"

Is there anyway to get over this huge problem ?.

Hi there,

Do you mean what I searched for ?.

It's on ebay.de yes, militaria / general items / 1939-45 section.

The seller will send to me !, but there appears to be absolutely no chance of bidding. 

As I said, this has appeared before, bu this item I really really want to bid on it .. and win it.

It is possible that the seller has the international sales opted in their global shipping programme.  GSP are always err on the safe side when dealing with potentially prohibitive items.  If he has this listed through GSP ask him to set a price on the listing for shipping to the UK.

If he isn't using GSP it is possible he requires instant payment and you do not have a payment method in place to enable that.

Finally, it is always possible that the compass box shows a Nazi symbol such as a swastika or runes associated with the Nazi regime.  If so the listing will be eventually pulled as such symbols are prohibited on any item for sale.  Ignore the knives policy; the wrong reason is often given for items that blocked or pulled.
