Late delivery case or item not as described?

Awaiting delivery which is now 4 days late although Evri say they tried to deliver which is a total lie. I contacted them and they said the package might be damaged split open?  I now do not know what to do. Seller says its just late.

As long as the item is not showing as delivered on your purchases page, after the last estimated delivery date has passed select "Report an item you didn't receive" on here:

and if necessary escalate it 3 complete working days later to get a full refund.

it says estimated delivery the 18th, then it says its on its way.

Try and open a case.  If you can, it is possible ebay might extend the three days to allow for it's arrival.

If it arrives (late) and you no longer want it, you can then open a case for not as described and return it for a refund.

I am a bit worried about opening a not received case, as when I contacted Evri they said that the parcel may have split open, it is a liquid product 5kgs so want to be able if necessary to open not as described. I would rather have the product with no issues.

You might get the product with no issues, or you might not get the product at all.

You can open an item not received case, followed by an item not as described one if necessary.

Yep,..Evri, a familiar story: "item not received" I have one package that is 7 days late, one that is 10 days late and one that is 11 days late,.. all from Evri.  You have a choice of refund or "I want the item."  If you choose the refund, it takes about three days. If you choose "I want the item," you will have to wait seven days and then Ebay is supposed to handle it; add three more days.  I feel sorry for the seller. They are out of pocket.

       As one seller said to me: "Seller and buyer suspended in the air by evri, I have no money, buyer does not have the item, they are making fun of buyers and sellers."

        Evri's Tracking is TOTAL fabrication.
