I bought a pair of trousers from China. They arrived and were 22.5 inside leg instead of, as described 30. I took photos and asked for a replacement. They offered 50%, then 60% refund, but they were too short! I asked for a replacement and they said they would send one within a week. I never got it. I told them and they said I had signed for it, I hadn't and so asked for a copy of the signiture. Then they said they had been posted through my letterbox. The first pair had, but I didn't receive a second pair. By now Ebay said they wouldn't help because I had gone past the time they allow for stepping in.
I have landed up with nothing.
Ebay do not allow for items being posted from abroad where it can take a long time to get here and then if the seller keeps messing you about you go beyond the given time. This needs rethinking.

eBay only cover refunds and if you had opened a not as described case within 30 days of receipt they would have backed you all the way.
you could try your payment provider.

Ilike to fair and let the seller sort it out before going to Ebay and they were going to, but then they kept stalling and said they had sent the item and to wait for a month for it to reach me!!!!! It never did.

This is a common tactic used by Chinese sellers and they never had any intention of sending a replacement.
They string you along with empty promises and you end up running out of time.
