This hasn’t happened to me before, after well over 1000 eBay purchases during the past 22 years.
In short, I received a notification that Evri’s courier “Lawrence” had “securely” delivered my item. Except he didn’t. My wife was at home at the claimed delivery time. Nobody knocked. And the photo accompanying the delivery “confirmation” email shows a parcel on the floor outside a closed front door that isn’t ours.
My wife did walk up and down the road an hour after the claimed delivery time to see if she could identify the door or see our parcel. She couldn’t. The GPS information on Evri’s tracking indicates that the parcel was delivered to somewhere close to the correct address.
A day later, no neighbour has come to our house to say “here’s your parcel”. Of course if it was left outside someone’s closed front door it is possible that an opportunistic passer-by simply picked it up and walked away with it.
I’m afraid I don’t have a great deal of time for Evri as I’ve found them to be unreliable too many times, but this is the first time that I’ve had them mis-deliver a parcel.
If others have had the same experience I’d appreciate knowing how this was resolved.
Thank you.

You should contact the seller and explain that, although the parcel is shown as delivered, the image of the delivery point is not your house.
The seller should then contact EVRi. They will send the seller a form letter denying delivery, which the seller will customise with their details and send to you. You sign this letter (which basically says that you are telling the truth and, if you're not, the hounds of hell will be unleashed on you) and send it back to the seller.
The seller submits this to EVRi for investigation and, if they're satisfied that the parcel has been delivered to the wrong property and cannot be recovered, they will issue a refund to the seller.

Thank you for the reply. I have no issue with signing a declaration. I've already provided the seller with photographic evidence showing clearly that the front door where the delivery person left the parcel is not mine.
In terms of timeline, the mis-delivery took place on Monday 8th and I notified the seller within minutes of receiving the delivery "confirmation" email from Evri. On Tuesday 9th I filed an "item not received" case, in response to which the seller uploaded that same day the tracking information - presumably in line with eBay procedures and instructions.
Today is Friday 12th and there has been no further development. Can anyone advise what happens next, and the likely timescale?
Thank you.

Hiya - same here - Tracking states Delivered and eBay says that's the end of the matter.
Sorry to say; Like me, you've 'Done your Money'.
Make sure you leave a Negative Comment with Pictures.

Your address(personally wouldn't make mine visible on a public forum) is flat 20
The delivery photo appears to show no.18,
IMHO that's absolute proof of a misdelivery

I don't think there is a solution. Today I had this happen to me for the 3rd time by the same courier Darren.
One was for an e bay purchase, ; Evri sent me to seller, seller refused refund as he had been sent proof of delivery = Wrong GPS picture and wrong door in a photograph. How do they know its my door or not , Theyve never been to my home. So I lost out on a paid for item and no money or replacement.
Then a delivery from elsewhere , Big company, who actually listened to me, and looked at the gps picture and said "That GPS isn't right for your address " and refunded me . But lost out on item as no more stocked.
Then miracle Darren delivered one parcel to me correctly ! But today a 3rd delivered but not delivered. Another wrong gps picture and another wrong door it was delivered to.
I have reported each one of these and Evri have done nothing. Just send you round in circles. You would think they would show an interest in the same courier causing issues and repeatably showing as no delivery, or delivered to wrong address , Or at least get them to get a new gps tracker or be taught how to read one correctly. I have lost money because of this man, that must know by now what he's doing.
I doubt I will get anywhere, they favour their couriers over any customer. Great eh ? !

The same has just happened to me, i was given a delivery time of 7pm to 9pm. I had a notifation from ebay the next morning saying that it was delivered 10:03pm 'secure delivery to household' the tracking info gave me coordinates of where the parcel was left and a photograph of a brick wall in the dark (40metres from my house on a busy main road.) when i went to look it wasn't there. i raised it with the seller and they never replied until i raised it with ebay, then they asked for a couple of days to investigate. they never got back to me again so i escelated it with ebay only to be told because it was showing as delivered they closed the case. Then sent me another message to contact EVRI but the link that they said to email is no longer in use and directed me to the help page on the website. This directed me to a chat and basically said as it was over 5 days to contact the seller. There is no was to contact anyone on EVRi as the phone number is just automated with no option to speak to anyone. It was only a £30 purchase but i am out of pocket and EVRI shouldn't be allowed to hide behind their website

As you aren't getting anywhere with eBay, I would contact your payment provider (PayPal or your card issuer) and ask them to raise a chargeback. They will look more closely at the tracking.

The same happened to me too last week. Ebay have refused my refund and closed the case. It was obvious from the tracking and GPS location that it was delivered two streets away. When I walked round it wasn't there. It was just left outside on the path, may as well have been left lay on the street. I complained to evri and the seller basically did nothing, I was the one who had to chase it up with evri. I've opened a case with PayPal now and if that fails I'll be issuing a chargeback. I'm so angry right now!!

I've just been refused a refund from PayPal, so I've issued a chargeback with my bank. They're not getting away with this. It's shocking that they don't even look at the evidence you've submitted showing the wrong address!!
Yes it's been delivered, but not to my house and not to me!
Same thing with Evri too.

That is unusual as PayPal do normally look more closely at the tracking.
What reason did they give for refusing it?
Hopefully you will have better luck with the chargeback.

That it had been 'delivered' same as ebay.
What is the point in explaining about the GPS location etc and giving them the tracking number myself if they're not going to even check the full information. Don't people use their brains anymore!!
As soon as the seller replied with the tracking number that showed as delivered, they refused my claim.
It's so exasperating!
Even though if they'd looked at 'see proof' they would have seen.
I'd also included photos of all that, plus my messages to and from evri.
It's unacceptable.

EVRI can be poor.
I was waiting for a parcel so listened out for a vehicle outside.
I heard a car door bang so stood just inside the front door with door closed.
Through the window I could see he put the parcel down behind my bin without even knocking.

Hi last week evri bring my parcel for a wrong address I want to call but don’t answer what should I need to do ?

Same thing happened to me. My parcel was delivered to a wrong address by Evri. I have no idea where it is even after knocking on so many doors in my neighborhood.

Had exactly the same problem with Evri ( photo of parcel which I did not recognise and no map location ) the normal delivery driver was on holiday that week and other locals reported the same faults.
Contacted EBay who opened and closed my case saying the parcel had been delivered, supplier would not contact Evri and Barclays refunded the payment but later withdrew it after contacting EBay.
At the moment still thinking of ways to contact someone ( possibly Spotlight southwest ) regarding the issue but loosing all faith in large global corporations and tired of being on the magic roundabout.

My son had the same issue , parcel delivered but not to him... GPS showed it was the adjacent street... went round there within 5 minutes to ask for the parcel - and the occupier said no parcel had been delivered to them, showed them the tracking info on his phone from Evri, and they actually threatened him with their dogs??? Contacted Evri... no help and referred my son back to the company the item was purchased from ( not eBay) who followed this up... next he had the Evri driver at the doorstep apologising that he made the mistake and that he did deliver to the wrong address. He was also " cautioned" by Evri and was upset at this.
My son had to fill in a form ( not sure what it was, possibly a declaration form.. fraud etc ?) and the company refunded him within a week and he repurchased. Why they didn't just re-send I am not sure.
A week or so later... just as my son was leaving the local shop, the "occupier" at the address that the parcel was delivered to who swore blind nothing was delivered... walked in, caught my sons eye and turned bright red... he was wearing the very same new well known branded jacket my son was expecting... what a coincidence?

if you get no joy on a missdelivery, just open a return for not as described and send a package back with a picture of the incorrect tracking location
