Is this a scam

I have an item listed on eBay for £295 it's only on as buy it now. And I've received an offer from a international buyer offering €403 which is £40 higher than my buy it now price..is this a scam..  is there any risk to me if I accept the offer?

You have a watch listed at 307.52 (with BPF included) plus 5 p+p.There is no best offer available on the listing so the ,erm,cough,"buyer" must have made the offer through messages.

That sounds very much like the start of a scam to me......

I'd be inclined to be suspicious. Why would anybody offer well over the buy it now price?

Which country are they making the offer from....?
