There are plenty threads with people complaining about Evri, many have replys from happy customers saying " I havn't had a problem with Evri" but if you did then you would find out just what a joke they are.
The measure of a company is how they deal with problems.
Try contacting customer services! They will email you quick smart.... but its just an automated reply, generic, sent to everyone that starts a chat on line .
Phone them...its no better.
They left my parcel outside in the street,(not the first time) its been stolen (also not the first time).
They have a tracking photo that proves non delivery, its in the street otside my closed door.
Yet ebay say the tracking shows delivered.
The sale of goods act 2015 means nothing to ebay.
For me, Evri is killing Ebay

I have a parcel that is over due, first it was far to big, then it was lost in transit now nobody has a clue what's going on, today I was told no parcel is due to me. eBay should remove this company as they now have lost or broken 4 parcels due to me. The help is as bad as the company.

Evri keep telling me a parcel is being delivered that day between certain times but parcels don't turn up I now will not buy from anyone on eBay using Evri you can not even speak to them I had a parcel I sent once paid extra for insurance they badly damaged it I had to give a refund of £40 eBay live chat said no worries we will reimburse me but after several times of contacting them they then said I'd run out of time to ask for a refund they Evri are not fit for purpose and my mission is to make sure everyone knows it
Avoid Evri

Twas mine too, but there are problems
First of all you may get a load of responses telling you that Evri are marvellous and someones personal "deliverer" is amazing.
Then you may get personal as opposed to factual responses
Then you have their cheapness, that seduces a lot of people , even it seems if they know Evri are awful.
Then Evri do have a blacklist, Ihave prrof of that, it means that they will come up with sonme linatic excuses for not delivering your parcels, an obstruction on your street, you refused the parcel, and so on and on.
Their most recent one was they put it in my shed, the one that is 30 feet behind 10 foot locked gates and doubly locked itself that is.
Going for the high jump world record are they ?
Best things to do
1 As you have said, avoid sellers who use them
2. If you cant do this, have it delivered to your nearest parcel shop, that seems to work ok
3. If you have enough evidence, take them to the small claims court, I did and won planty of dough
from them
4 If you want any kind of response, do not bother with their customer services, that is just set up to frustrate you
5 Try emailing their CEO directly martijn.delange ,you can google his email addres, they wont let me put it here
6 Leave reviews on Trustpilot and any other review site you can find
7 Keep in touch, I have more 🙂

Out of last seven deliveries both to click and collect and my home address only one was succesfully received on time.
Three went missing.
One was returned to seller for no reason who stated they never received it.
One arrived six weeks later.
One was left in a main street in pouring rain by a shared door... it went missing. Evri frankly didn't give a ****.
One actually arrived !!
Golden rule now - never buy from evri sellers - ever. I just skip the listings.
One lady insisted on sending by evri after I asked her not to (she didn't specify carrier in listing) - and amazingly the parcel got 'lost'!!!! She then blamed me for using evri !!
19-08-2024 12:48 PM
Sounds like you might be on their "blacklist" ?
Or just have a real enthusiastic thief as a driver ?
You might be able to tell from the one parcel you did get, as with my experience.
That is there were two labels on it, peel off the first one and lo and behold on the bottom one you have the evidence, as I have, of their "blacklist".
Please read above and consider my suggestions.
Sadly their cheapness appears to override any concerns for many about their lack of efficacy, both individuals and companies that is.
Google this and have a read "

UPDATE:
And the next one (current) didn't know was evri... despatched.... and now three days late... I even directed it initially to a collection point as I knew the chances of receiving it otherwise were virtually zero.
Currently 1 of 8 has arrived on time.
I never bother contacting them anymore as just useless canned responses designed to fob you off.
Now I don't just avoid evri listings but those that don't specify courier.
On the other hand:
DPD have proved to be ultra reliable - app/online tracking accurate, precise and almost to the minute delivery means I can have a normal day just arriving half an hour before arrival to my home
RM deliver 80% on time and the other 20% a day later - out of a hundred or so parcels not one been lost
UPC - extremely reliable - so much so they give you the local depot managers number to call if an issue - which I did once, and he even looked into it - and called me back saying it was on its way. Shocked.

i have had a few items via Evri recently and each one has taken about a week to arrive.
With RM its 2-3 days.

With RM its 2-3 days.
Lucky you.
Today, the 29th, I will be sending out two packages as replacements for orders that were despatched on the 19th and still haven't arrived.

None of them are perfect for sure, its just that Evri are the worst, and have been voted so for the past two years.
They do however have the best customer disservice department of all of them, its a total farce.
If you are buying , do not not settle for " other courier" in the postage description of anything you are buying, it normally means Evri, the seller just does not care to admit that.
If you have to, it tends to be better if you have it directed to your local parcel shop.
That works better for me even though I am on their blacklist
If you are using them to deliver your parcels.......caveat emptor !

I am a buyer and feel sorry for sellers who use Evri. Evri have recently invested £1 million in AI to make their customer experience better - really? And eBay apparently use AI for delivery dates - I purchased an item recently and have had 5 different estimated delivery dates and the tracking number provided just doesn't work. The seller is being as helpful as he can be and trying to find out what has happened but I fear he is just being given the runaround. I have no great hopes I will ever receive the vintage item I purchased so thanks eBay and Evri for royally screwing up a transaction. I will never again purchase an item which will be sent using Evri.

I'm a buyer and I recently put up a post about Yodel. I was suggesting it could be a postcode lottery. Although Evri was quite bad some time ago, I haven't had problems with them of late. Whereas with Yodel, it seems every delivery is hit and miss.
There are many postings on my local Facebook group from all delivery companies about parcels being left in the street, or at the wrong address. This really isn't proof of posting and I agree totally that it should not be accepted as such. I live in a communal block. Not everybody here are good neighbours, and would think nothing of just picking up a parcel and taking it.
This is what you get when you privatise everything. The post office is now under review and I believe they are still in talks about selling it to another country. I cannot see how it is going to be what it once was. This is why we have a plethora of these new delivery companies trying to make a living from delivering parcels.
19-09-2024 9:17 PM
So easy for everyone to constantly complain about these companies, as a courier I have first hand experience of what it takes to do the job. Addressing your comments, it is impossible to know whether an apartment in a block is safe to leave parcels or not, unless pre-advised not to leave we do leave because more people complain when we don't leave. Personally I would never leave a parcel on the street or in public view, there is usually a box, shed, garage on even a locked gate that you can put the parcel over if it's not fragile. As for the wrong address that will happen because we are only human and everyone makes mistakes, also if the navigation says you are at the correct address and the door number matches you are likely to deliver it obviously navigation systems are not infallible either, and some addresses are just near impossible to find. Having also in the past worked for Amazon I can say nothing could be worse, they have a second to none app which really is brilliant but unfortunately you are expected to deliver every parcel and if there isn't somewhere to hide it then you are expected to leave it in full view or not. So us couriers can't win, we are damned if we go and damned if we don't. If people were at home more life would be so much easier but that's not going to happen so we really go the better can. Do remember if we go up to your door and you are not in and there's no place to leave the parcel we do not get paid for that parcel, attempting to deliver is no good if you want to get paid.
19-09-2024 9:55 PM
Okay, I just wrote a huge reply and now it's gone. Yes, I fully appreciate where you are coming from and I've spoken to an Amazon driver in the past on his first day and his van was packed back to front, but he said he wouldn't get any money unless he delivered any of it. But he wasn't gonna go back second day and work for them. This whole thing could start a circular argument with sellers buyers and couriers getting into discussions and argument. But for what is worth I think that the company representatives themselves should come and join in forums like this so they could hear what we all have to say about them. The IT systems vary from company to company and it seems from area to area. I've given my examples of how bad yodel is where I live and attach a photograph of where they said it was left in my porch. Of course I live inside the block and I don't have a porch. But it was left according to the photograph in the car park. I am genuine in my concerns because I understand you are being paid at the minimum wage and you don't get paid for time off sick or holidays nor can you join the union. This is totally satisfactory and not being paid for parcels because the IT system doesn't notify the buyer is just crazy. It just shows how tight the margins are for this type of service. You could go to a better company such as DPD. Who are actually in my experience the best, where you get proper alerts and notifications. There's another company where they actually arrive in a grey suit, but I can't remember the name. You're my Post code, is for this small block of 44 flats only. There's absolutely no reason why any navigation system in the van can't find it. Anyhow, I wish you well and you do have my empathy. The whole system is corrupt and of course the people at the bottom suffer the worst.
19-09-2024 11:32 PM
Yes I get what you trying to say. It's not that the system is corrupt, it's that the people at the top use systems that are totally created by a computer, a computer cannot foresee the possible problems couriers can encounter on a day to day basis, the computer assumes that everything will go to plan on a very tight schedule, it does not allow for traffic jams, accidents or roadworks. It does not take into account that nobody will answer the door and you have to search for a safe place to put the parcel. It does not take into account that a return parcel won't scan and you have to use a different method to collect it or that the person hasn't even bothered to print off a label and they expect you to stand there and wait for them to do it, all time consuming that there are no allowances for. We are self employed there is no minimum wage for us, we get paid per parcel. You need to do 30-40 parcels per hour to make minimum wage and cover your fuel and vehicle expenses. As for Dpd not a chance I would ever go with them, they don't have a depot in my area and if you are not in the parcel goes back to their depot which is 15 miles away. Also you have to pay for one of their vans so that's £250 per week before you can have any money for fuel and yourself. What most people never hear about is the good side of couriers, when you go above and beyond, you help someone by taking it inside for them because it's heavy or they are disabled, you phone someone because there's no where to leave the parcel or you go back in your own time because the parcel needs a signature and the person is at work but they desperately want the item for a birthday or special event, so that's 2 trips you've made all for between 50 and 79 pence but no never do you hear people saying how good a courier is, it's all bad mouthing, rude comments and verbal abuse, never do they think without us they wouldn't get their delivery it would be a trip to the shops like the old days.
20-09-2024 9:17 AM
Wow, I didn't realise it was that bad! You see we don't get to hear about the detail of all this. This is why there is so much misunderstanding. I think so anyhow. I always give positive feedback to the company after a courier has come, unless of course I don't receive it.As I said to you, I'm disabled on more or less housebound so click and collect is not really a good option for me.Anyhow, I won't hawk on. I fully support you and your colleagues. But as it happens, I just bought something yesterday and the seller had put it uses Royal mail and this morning I get a message from every saying that they are delivering it. So now as a buyer I'm faced with what would've been a simple purchase that could easily go through a letterbox, having to make sure that I am aware of somebody coming to deliver when and where is convenient for the company. It's madness I wish you good luck, I would wish things would change, but I feel that would be pointless.
20-09-2024 9:58 AM
If it's letterbox size, the EVRi driver will put it through the letterbox.
A couple of days ago, EVRi delivered a small packet through my letterbox at number 15. It was only a short walk to re-deliver it to number 51. If the recipient looks at the delivery image, they're going to be mightily surprised to see that it isn't their front door.
20-09-2024 10:52 AM
Yes unfortunately that does happen occasionally, nobody is perfect we all make mistakes. Good of you to walk it round to the correct address. Once it is through the letterbox there's not much you can do if you do realise and there nobody in. I did that once in road where I thought it was odds one side and evens the other and the second house didn't have a number so I assumed it was number 3 but was actually number 2 and nobody was home so I put a note through both doors saying my mistake.
20-09-2024 11:03 AM
Yes I can totally understand how difficult things can be for you as nearly housebound. Where possible most couriers will try to oblige and go the extra mile for a disabled person if they know. Unfortunately most of the time the only people that really know their customers are the regular couriers who do the same routes every day, I am a lifestyle courier which means that I cover other couriers holidays, days off or vehicle breakdowns etc. This of course makes the job harder because a. You don't necessarily know the area and b. You don't know the customer or safe places to leave parcels. I would hope that most couriers are like me and use their common sense when it comes to leaving parcels in safe places but I know some do not and I can't stick up for them. At least you now have a more detailed view of what it means to be a courier. Luckily most people are lovely reasonable people like you but there are always a few that blame us for everything, give us bad reviews and abuse us on the doorstep. Such is life hey.

@adamfrag wrote:I base my royal mai comment on the fact that my postman always leaves parcels in my shed if I'm not home. Always.
I'm sorry but all this talk of automatically agreeing to terms is bollxx.I wouldn't knowingly order from anyone who thinks like that .
Why didn't you specify your shed as a safe place ?- it is very simple to do via the tracking notifications - RM in their terms and conditions have the right to leave in a safeplace of their choice or with a neighbour of their choice unless specified otherwise by you - RM state that they will not leave on a doorstep and if specified as a safe place by the receiver will not leave it on a doorstep but apparently they do !
The other point is that the ebay MBG is in addition to your legal rights but you do sign up to it by using ebay - see ebay user agreement.
The only way to get a refund by ebay is to appeal with confirmation from the carrier that it was incorrectly delivered.
You can claim directly from the seller who has legal responsibility for the delivery but you may end up in court if paypal do not agree with reversing your payment (chargeback) if paypal refund and claim from ebay you get your money back paid by ebay and the seller keeps the money you paid him - not anything to do with your rights just an ebay seller protection.
Nb chargebacks are a customer service courtesy protection from the payment provider and have no legal standing until the value reaches a section 75 claim

This cannot be right and should be challenged at every opportunity.
It depends on the interpretation of the 'note' - it never mentioned anyone specifically, the label does by default - wouldn't want to risk a very expensive law suit over that one
