I am currently prevented from buying a Scorpion (power saw) replacement blade through eBay online. This has never happened before. The accessory is clearly not a weapon and could not easily be used as such. Evidently something has gone very wrong, here. Lost sales, and buyer frustration - all for something quite harmless, and not a blade as such. We are told that a credit card must be used as proof of age. I don't own a credit card, and have no intention of obtaining one for this use. Pretty shabby.

Yes, you've fallen foul of the 'sledgehammer to crack a nut' method of asertaining the age of buyers on ebay when it comes to 'blades'.
(no matter that to have an ebay account you have to be over 18 in the first place...!)
As in,... the AI (artificial idiocy) thinks anything that has a sharp surface /face/blade will be used to stab 17 yr old boys in inner cities.......
(buyers have been prevented from buying letter openers, pizza cutters and lawmmower spares etc etc...)
Nothing you can do here, mate..... get it from somewhere else!

Isn't it crazy! You've got it in one - Artificial Idiocy explains it perfectly... And, yes, def over 18 - account since '09 and in my 60s. Cheers for reply.
